Ischia, the island of a vacation place in Italy, lost eight people in a landslide brought on by persistent rain.
According to reports, unfavorable weather conditions are making it difficult to access the island. During this challenging moment, a rescue crew is working very hard.
Numerous structures had fallen, and hundreds of people were still out of contact. Also, a hotel on the island apparently has many guests who can’t leave because of the bad condition of weather.
As there is a poor condition of weather, the government is requesting the local community not to leave their places for any reason until the weather conditions get normal.
It is expected that till Sunday, Campania, which includes the area around Naples and Ischia, is under a bad forecast warning due to the upcoming arrival of heavy rain and high winds.
Matteo Salvini, infrastructure minister of Italy posted on twitter;
We have been following with anguish what happened in #Ischia for hours, with our thoughts going to the families and rescuers who operate in infamous weather. Securing Italy, from north to south, will be what we will all have to work on day and night
