A blast took one life and around twelve people are missing on Saturday morning in St Helier on Pier Road.
According to the Investigation officer, it was a very heartbreaking sight and was not safe.
The senior investigation officer also told that the state emergency services arrived as they received a call regarding gas leakage the night before the incident happened.
Around 20-30 people were successfully taken out safely and a couple of people were injured at the spot of the incident. Police have urged residents to stay away from the location as emergency responders can proceed with their job without any trouble.
Jersey authorities subsequently informed by posting on the Twitter account that fire services were in the risky zone and were eventually formed by urban relief and recovery units from the continent.
Everyone is in complete disbelief this morning, but the Premier of Jersey has expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of those who have been impacted by this tragedy.
